Project Engineer/Designer (BIM and VDC)

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Project Design Engineer with experience in 3D modeling, BIM, or VDC to join our expanding team. This is an opportunity to apply your technical expertise to meaningful projects that make a real difference in safeguarding people and property.

Responsibilities

• Design life safety and asset protection systems using AutoCAD and proprietary software applications  
• Update existing drawings  
• Direct contractors in proper system installation and operation  
• Survey job sites to ensure proper system design and installation  
• Assist in system startups and commissioning  
• Assist with system inspection and maintenance  
• Create project specific operation and maintenance manuals  
• Assist office staff with engineering related tasks  
• Attend manufacturer training classes

Qualifications  

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of AutoCAD experience or Bachelors in engineering, fire design or similar field
• Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD 2D drafting & 3D modeling 
• Understanding of MS Office applications  
• Good organizational skills  
• Able to communicate technical information  
• Desire to learn industry standards  
• Willingness to study for and obtain NICET certification
