Role Summary:

Our BC Branch is looking for a Fire Alarm System and Service Sales Representative to join the team working out of the Victoria office. This role is responsible for acquiring and maintaining new system sales accounts within a specified territory along with developing and driving fire alarm, inspect, test and maintenance service contracts.

This is a performance-driven role with clear expectations around territory growth, pipeline development, and achievement of defined sales targets. The successful candidate will take ownership of their market, proactively identify and develop new opportunities, and build long-term customer relationships.


Job Responsibilities: 

  • Own and deliver on an assigned annual sales target, with accountability for results and performance
  • Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline through consistent prospecting and market engagement
  • Identify and pursue larger, more complex opportunities including multi-site and enterprise-level customers
  • Develop strategic account plans to grow key customers and expand service and system offerings over time
  • Focus on sales within an assigned geographic territory and/or assigned customer accounts
  • Manage and develop new and existing customer relationships
  • Quote systems and maintenance programs for customers with technical accuracy and within Company pricing guidelines
  • Sell new PMA agreements to commercial customers, covering all company products and services, including fire alarm and suppression systems, with a focus on high-value and multi-site customers throughout the various verticals Chubb operates in such as Healthcare, Education (Schools) , Hospitality, Data centres, Major Retail malls, Commercial high rise etc.
  • Manage and develop new and existing customer relationships with Electrical Distributors, Electrical Contractors, Electrical Engineers and Electrical Wholesalers, as required
  • Conduct building surveys to support the development of estimates
  • Establish contact with, prospect, and qualify potential buyers of PMA service contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing marketing strategies
  • Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company service offerings
  • Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that will support achieving the designed sales plan
  • Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers to ensure long-term customer loyalty
  • Maintain a renewal base with existing customers
  • Stay current in knowledge of life safety product features (including competitor technology), legislation, and regulations
  • Maintain correct and complete records of all sales-related activities
  • Submit all required sales reports, expenses, competitive activity, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner
  • Attend trade shows, seminars, and meetings related to the sales and marketing of Fire products/services
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Technical background or experience in the Fire Alarm industry
  • Preference will be given to those who are a graduate of a college electrical/electronic program or hold a Fire Alarm CFAA or ASTT certification
  • Experience designing complex fire solutions for large construction projects, preferred
  • Experience managing complex fire projects and dealing with multiple trades
  • Experience dealing with contractors, engineers, and distribution
  • Experience within the construction market
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business, manage a sales pipeline, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets in a B2B environment
  • Previous sales experience in a related business with a proven successful record of accomplishment that is verifiable
  • Excellent communication and time management skills; ability to persuade and close sales, handle a variety of situations, and work with limited supervision
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client service orientation
  • Must be willing to travel for customer calls
  • Must have a valid Provincial driver's license with a clean driving record
