Senior Retirement Plan Analyst
We are currently seeking a Senior Retirement Plan Analyst. This position provides end-to-end administration of the company’s ERISA plans and ad hoc support of the company’s other retirement plans (NQDC, M&A legacy plans, ESPP, etc.). This role requires subject matter expertise, attention to detail, and collaboration with stakeholders both internal and external.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with vendors to manage deliverables and ensure efficient and effective operation of the retirement benefits program.
- Lead collection, review and reconciliation of team member data for annual profit sharing and match true-up allocations as well as non-discrimination testing.
- Interpret retirement plan reports, analyze plan data for trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
- Manage and resolve inquiries from plan participants and internal partners – HR, Finance, Legal, Audit, Accounting, etc.
- Collaborate with vendors to develop and implement retirement plan communication strategy and onsite education.
- Research, document and correct transaction errors within DOL/IRS guidelines to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Assist with ad hoc projects – system upgrades, vendor RFPs, plan design changes, lost employee searches, etc.
- Support annual retirement plan audits and 5500 preparation.
- Document department procedures and update as processes evolve.
- Monitor 401k contribution timing and follow-up with internal payroll contacts as needed.
- Maintain understanding of ERISA provisions and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in ERISA plan administration, compensation, finance, or accounting in a global corporate environment.
- ERISA knowledge and professional certifications (e.g. CEBS, ASPPA, QKA, QPA, etc.) pertinent to plan administration.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to advocate to vendors on behalf of employees, deliver clear training or education materials to employees, and craft effective communications.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and handle high-pressure situations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy with an eye for efficiency and process improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (vlookup, macros, etc.) for data consolidation and clean-up purposes.
Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $80,000 - $121,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
