Role: Junior Project Manager – Sprinklers

Salary: $60K to $70K

Benefits: gas card, annual bonus, benefits plan, RPP etc.

Location: Greater Toronto Area

Working Hours: 8 am to 5 pm, Mon to Fri

Summary: The Junior Project Manager - Sprinkler will support the planning, coordination, and execution of fire protection sprinkler system projects within Direct Fire Protection. This entry-level role involves assisting senior project managers in managing installations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining schedules and budgets, and supporting the estimating process for new and ongoing projects. The position works closely with contractors, engineers, and clients to deliver high-quality fire safety solutions on time and within scope. Responsibilities include coordinating materials, handling project documentation, aiding in project cost estimation, monitoring progress, and supporting site supervision. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to teamwork and problem-solving, coupled with a keen interest in the fire protection industry and an aptitude for project estimating.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business and meet clients for sprinkler system projects.
  • Prepare and follow up on project estimates, quotations, and proposals.
  • Review building plans, specs, and tender documents to confirm project details.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and verify measurements.
  • Develop project schedules and plan activities, resources, and sequences.
  • Estimate costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting.
  • Coordinate procurement, installation, commissioning, and contractor
  • management.
  • Ensure quality control, safety compliance, and risk management throughout.
  • Prepare and maintain all essential project documentation.
  • Monitor project progress, track budgets, and serve as main client contact.


Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Fire Protection, Construction, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of project or estimation experience in fire protection or
  • construction.
  • Able to read and interpret sprinkler design drawings accurately.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards, Ontario Building Code, and fire protection rules.
  • Skilled in MS Office and Bluebeam is preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, team player.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
