Accounting & Finance Internship - Summer 2026
Job Summary
APi Group is currently seeking highly motivated individuals to participate in our 2026 Summer Accounting & Finance Internship Program. Our goal is to create meaningful and relevant work experiences, allowing you to generate a positive business impact and develop professionally. You will have full access to APi Group's company sponsored leadership development trainings and will be partnered with a coach/mentor to support your growth. You will receive exposure to global enterprise business challenges and strategies. Interns will contribute to projects with a range of focuses in the world of finance and accounting. The internship is a summer-long, full-time, paid position running from June - August 2026. Interns must commit to work for the duration of the summer at the APi Group office in New Brighton, MN.
Responsibilities
· Support operational execution of departmental day-to-day tasks
· Support department initiatives by helping meet deadlines
· Refine and develop your analytical, problem-solving, and oral and written communication skills through real work experiences
· Be encouraged to explore other areas of interest within and outside of the department
Qualifications
List minimum requirements for education, experience, and proficiencies
Qualifications:
- Must be working towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a relevant field
- Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) within core business hours (8AM-5PM), for a minimum of 10 weeks.
- Must be able to work in-person at the New Brighton, MN office

Skill Set Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Hive.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Experience with Git or another version control system is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $18.00- $25.00, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family. Some benefits include:
