As our organization continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional who can partner with operational leaders to support our workforce, strengthen HR processes, and promote a safe and positive workplace culture.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Leader supports the daily operations of the HR function and serves as a key resource for both team members and managers on HR-related matters. This role is responsible for a wide range of human resources activities including recruitment, team member relations, benefits administration, compliance, HR systems management, and employee engagement initiatives.
Reporting to the Controller, this position plays an important role in ensuring consistent HR practices, maintaining compliance with employment laws, and supporting a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations
- Administer day-to-day HR activities including team member onboarding, offboarding, and maintenance of personnel records.
- Maintain HRIS data to ensure team member records are accurate, current, and compliant with company policies and employment laws.
- Support payroll processes by maintaining employee data such as status changes, pay adjustments, and time-off tracking.
Recruitment s Onboarding
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding of new hires.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and support effective hiring decisions.
- Help ensure a positive and organized onboarding experience for new team members.
Team Member Relations s Performance Management
- Provide guidance to corporate and divisional leaders and team members on HR-related matters including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans.
- Support the company’s performance management process including review cycles, documentation, and manager guidance.
- Assist in fostering a respectful, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.
Benefits s Team Member Engagement
- Coordinate employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes, and employee education.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.
- Assist with internal HR communications and employee-focused initiatives.
Compliance s Policy Administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes and recommend improvements when appropriate.
Reporting s HR Initiatives
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation for management as needed.
- Coordinate employee training and development initiatives.
- Support local and company-wide HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of human resources experience, preferably in a generalist role.
- Working knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and HR compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.
- Experience supporting HR functions in a multi-department or manufacturing environment.
