Senior Tax Accountant
Terms: Permanent Full Time

Job Summary
The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for supporting the U.S. income tax compliance and global tax provision processes. This includes both preparation and review of tax workpapers, coordinating with external advisors and managing the compliance and financial reporting timelines. The selected candidate must be able to adapt to change (i.e. – look for process improvements with new tools and techniques, take on new tasks, etc.). It is essential for this role to develop relationships both within tax but also across the organization to gather information and support decision-making. This role will provide opportunities to cross-collaborate with various corporate departments and with the business controllers at the operating entities.
Responsibilities
· Preparation and review of tax workpapers to support the global tax provision and tax return processes
· Preparation of tax technical memorandums for financial reporting and quarterly tax provision process
· Preparation and review of federal/state/local extension, estimate, and return payments
· Review of federal and state/local income tax returns provided by external advisors
· Review of other federal/state information filings
· Review of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
· Manage corporate tax department consulting spend budget, including monthly reconciliations
· Research federal, state, and local tax issues, including routine updates for the tax department on new tax legislation
· Serve as preparer of tax-specific financial statement controls, including execution and documentation
· Complete other miscellaneous projects and participate in Company initiatives as requested
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam preferred.
· 2-4 years of experience in U.S. federal and/or state corporate tax (public accounting or corporate tax department experience preferred).
· Knowledge of U.S. corporate income tax laws and basic understanding of ASC 740 concepts.
· Proficiency with tax compliance and research software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This role will be based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $73,600 - $110,800, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
