Data Center Division Leader
Job Title: Data Center Division Leader
Reports To: Brandon Lenhof
Overview:
The Data Center Division Leader is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, operational management, and growth of the division focused on its specific industry vertical. This leadership role encompasses sales, project management, and engineering teams, and carries full responsibility for the division’s financial performance. The Division Leader will ensure alignment with company objectives while driving market penetration, leadership development, revenue growth, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement division-specific strategies aligned with broader company goals. Assess market trends, identify growth opportunities, and position the division as an industry leader.
- Sales Management: Set sales targets and drive business development activities to achieve revenue and margin objectives. Coach, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximize market share and customer loyalty.
- Project Management Oversight: Direct the project management team in planning, executing, and closing projects efficiently. Ensure high-quality deliverables, customer satisfaction, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Engineering Leadership: Guide the engineering team in driving innovation and technical excellence. Oversee resource allocation, technology adoption, and the continuous improvement of processes and solutions.
- P&L Responsibility: Manage the division’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Monitor and optimize cost structures, pricing strategies, and profitability.
- Team Development: Hire, develop, and retain high-performing sales, project management, and engineering personnel. Foster a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Represent the division in executive meetings and strategy sessions.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the fire protection industry or a similar technical service environment.
- Knowledge of fire suppression systems, fire alarms, and applicable NFPA codes.
- Understanding of financial documents, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Expectations:
- Conduct weekly and monthly project meetings similar to current standards.
- Produce annual and monthly forecasts to Leadership Team.
- Facilitate monthly WIP meeting and submit financial performance to Leadership Team.
- Conduct monthly Management Meeting with division key personnel.
- Assist key personnel in hiring and developing their teams to meet the goals of the division and of 3S.
- Build a culture of leadership within the division, including investing in each person’s development, IDP conversations, and mentorship.
- Take full ownership of the division as if it were a small business.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor the effectiveness of the division.
