Role Summary:
Our Southern Alberta Branch is looking for a Calgary based Security Alarm Technician to join their team. The right candidate will be able to complete high quality installations, service work & maintain client equipment along with completing renovations and programming for our customers. The expectation is that the above would be completed while you are providing superior customer service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, install and program systems (alarm, access control and CCTV) as per the customer’s specifications
- Perform Service work, ULC Inspections, Installations, Verification duties as assigned
- Coordinate with Sales Representatives and Security Coordinators
- Work to meet project estimation and deadlines
- Stay up to date on current alarm technology.
- Networking and programming as required.
- Must be able to complete out of town work (including overnight stays), oncall work, work outside of traditional hours, and overtime as required
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience within the security industry is preferred
- Knowledge and previous work experience with Access Control, Security Alarms and CCTV systems
- Electrical training/experience or in-depth knowledge
- Ability to manage a security install project from start to finish
- Computer and network knowledge to set up systems
- Basic understanding of electrical circuitry
- Experience pulling wire and clean cable management
- A valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record
