Fire Alarm and Special Hazard Service Leader Position
The primary purpose of this position is to oversee the Fire Alarm and Special Hazard Service Department. The Fire Alarm and Special Hazard Service Leader is responsible for driving profitable revenue, while positively leading and managing the Service Department staff, processes, and procedures. The Fire Alarm and Special Hazard Service Leader estimates and schedules service work, while working to continuously improve our customer experiences.
This position has a salary of $85k+ depending on experience
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise both the field and office service teams. This includes hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary action.
- Creating, maintaining, and consistently ensuring an exceptional customer experience by working with employees, customers, and vendors
- Actively participate in Sales to Operations handoffs. Understand the scope of work. Order and receive all materials and equipment. Schedule with customers. Collaborate and coordinate scheduling with Fire Sprinkler Service Leader for multiple scopes. Execute on scope of work that meets or beats the budget. Obtain all documentation from field technicians. Promptly and accurately resolve all jobs for quick invoice turnaround.
- Administer and manage AFPG’s monitoring accounts.
- Oversee service technician’s workload and adjust schedules as needed to meet changing demands.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- Enforce existing and further develop standards and procedures to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services.
- Handle customer concerns quickly and professionally to maintain customer relationships.
- Ensure that service strategy aligns with overall business objectives and company mission, vision, and values.
- Track and analyze service metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Promote safety above all else. Set the team up for success with proper equipment and perform routine safety audits of field personnel.
- Review and approve payroll.
- Estimate service work, order parts, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Available as backup support for your branch’s scheduled Emergency Service technicians.
- Assist with collections as needed.

Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of relative Life Safety with mentorship and leadership responsibilities.
- Although not required, applicable technical field experience and licensure is a plus.
- Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong computer and phone skills.
- Understand NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), building and fire codes.
- Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing.
- Valid driver’s license; in accordance with company policy required.
- Able to pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
